Yes, the senior citizen concession fare (standard fare less 30%) applies to Malaysian senior citizens aged 60 and above who hold a MyKad or Malaysian passport. Standard fare applies to senior citizens of other nationalities.
Effective 1 May 2021, you can use your MyKad Touch 'n Go directly at the gate to enjoy the concession fares. The concession fares will no longer be offered through the ticket counter from 1 May 2021.

KLIA Transit ticket validity (applicable for tickets purchased online, at the counter or at self-service kiosks):

Standard Single (One-way) Counter and self-service kiosk: 1 month from the date of purchase
Online: 1 month from the selected travel date
Standard Return (Two-way) Counter and self-service kiosk: Both trips to be utilised within 1 month from the date of purchase
Online: Both trips to be utilised within 1 month from the selected travel date
You can buy KLIA Transit tickets online through KLIA Ekspres app and website up to 6 months in advance, and these e-tickets are valid for 1 month from the selected travel date.
You cannot board the KLIA Transit train at a station other than the one encoded in your ticket. If the travelling sector is encoded as KL Sentral to KLIA, you can only use the ticket to board at KL Sentral and exit at KLIA.
The KLIA Transit standard Single Trip (one-way) ticket is not reversible. You can only use the ticket for the travelling sector as encoded in the ticket and not in the opposite direction.
There is no refund for boarding the wrong train. You are required to purchase a new ticket i.e. KLIA Ekspres Single Trip (one-way) ticket for your journey on the KLIA Ekspres train from the airport to KL Sentral.
To avoid such incidents in the future, please ensure that you have bought the correct ticket and boarded the correct train service. Please do not hesitate to ask for assistance from our Ticketing Officers should you require further clarification.

  1. Child (6-15 years)
      • You can buy tickets for children aged 6-15 at the counter without having to buy an Adult ticket first.
      • You cannot buy tickets for children aged 6-15 in an online transaction without buying an Adult ticket.
  1. Child (below 6 years)
      • Children below 6 years old travel for free. However, you must still get tickets for each child, at no charge, before travelling.
      • You must purchase an Adult ticket first at the counter, kiosk or online before you can request for the free tickets at the counter. If you have already purchased the Adult ticket online or at the kiosk, please present it as proof to our Ticketing Officer. Maximum 3 free Child tickets per Adult ticket.
      • You cannot get free tickets for children below 6 in an online transaction without buying an Adult ticket.
      • Only one-way free Child tickets will be issued, and must be collected at the ticket counter each time you travel.
        • Proof of age is required (e.g. MyKid, Passport).
        • The free Child tickets will be valid for only 10 minutes upon issuance.
  1. Child Ticket Activation
      • If you are buying tickets online, a barcode ticket will be issued for each child (6-15 years and below 6 years) during the online transaction. However, the barcode ticket is deactivated. You need to go to the counter to activate the barcode before it can be used at the gate.
  1. Seat reservation is not required.
  1. Tickets purchased are non-refundable.
  1. KLIA Ekspres tickets are not interchangeable with KLIA Transit tickets.
  1. Online transaction limit
      • Payment by credit/debit card or online banking (FPX): Maximum 10 tickets allowed per transaction or RM700 per credit/debit card or bank account per day
      • Payment by eWallet: Maximum 10 tickets allowed per transaction or RM700 per eWallet account per day (please note that it is also subject to the daily transaction limit that you set in your own eWallet account)
